Meet Michael D. Cerasa

Michael D. Cerasa is a native of Wilbraham, Massachusetts and lived in Western Massachusetts until leaving to attend Clemson University in South Carolina. While at Clemson, he was admitted to the Golden Key National Honors Society, as well as Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society before graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Mr. Cerasa received his Juris Doctorate from The Florida State University College of Law, cum laude in 2005. While in law school, he served as the executive editor of the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law and was admitted to Pi Sigma Phi, a national legal honors society.

He and his wife, Jennifer, moved to Central Florida in 2005.

Mr. Cerasa is active in the Central Florida community, serving as a member of Florida Citrus Sports, a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to increasing community spirit and pride, promoting tourism, stimulating economic development and ultimately benefiting charities, educational institutions and the quality of life in Central Florida. He recently completed a four-year term as a member of the Board of Directors for the Jacob K. Javits Fellowship Board with the United States Department of Education. The Board develops standards and guidelines for awarding fellowships to high-achieving graduate students in the arts and humanities fields.

In addition to hurricane damage law, Mr. Cerasa is experienced in personal injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle and trucking liability, premises liability, insurance law, medical malpractice, and products liability law.

Mr. Cerasa is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, and is also licensed to practice law in the federal courts in the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.
